Photos of products have been taken in natural light with no filters and we do our best to showcase colors as they naturally look in person. Please understand that rug colors may vary in different spaces and light.
Rug may not lay flat in the photos - the nature of wool rugs is that they will lay flat over the course of a day and rugs were folded right before photographing them.
Most rugs are made from wool. Some rugs may contain cotton.
All products are vintage and one-of-a-kind. Please understand that rugs may have some wear and imperfections. We like to call them beauty marks!
Due to the vintage nature of our rugs, we recommend either spot cleaning or performing a whole-rug cleaning when necessary. Please note that these are vintage rugs and sometimes may arrive with an odor from washing the natural wool that will disipate over time.
How to Spot Clean Your Rug
If you accidentally spill onto your rug, first sop up the extra liquid with a towel. Next, with a rag and some mild soap and water (we recommend gentle soap; steer clear of hand and dish soap), simply dab the spot until you’ve removed all remnants of the spill. Last, dab the spot with a wet towel or rag to remove the soap, and the spill should be gone!
How to Clean Your Whole Rug
First, vacuum the rug thoroughly, then flip it over so the back side is facing up, and vacuum again. This will remove a ton of dirt and dust.
For small rugs, they can be soaked in a bathtub with mild soap and warm water. Once you’re done, squeegee the water out, lay it over a railing or clothesline, and let the rug dry. It’s okay to bring it outside and let it dry in the sun.
For large rugs, fill a bucket with warm water and a mild soap. With a soft-bristled brush, rub the soapy water on the rug and gently brush it along the rug just as you would if you were to vacuum it, focusing more on any stains or particularly dirty sections. Once you’ve brushed the whole rug with soapy water, rinse out the soap. If the rug is too large to fit in a tub, bring it outside and rinse it off with a hose with a nozzle attachment so you can control the force of the water, making sure to choose a low- or medium-power water stream. When the water runs clean, squeegee the excess off and hang the rug to dry.
Vintage Rugs Policy
If the vintage rug turns out to be not what you wanted or does not fit your space, we accept returns for store credit only on regular-priced rugs. Returns must be requested and shipped within 3 days of the delivery of the rug. This is to ensure the rug is not sitting in another home for too long and is only fair to the next buyer that we know where the rug has been. Initial shipping and return shipping is paid for by the buyer and there is a $50 restock fee. Please reach out with any other questions.
In-Person Consult & Custom-Sourced Rugs Policy
In-person consults and special custom source rugs are FINAL SALE. No cancellations.
Sale & Promotions Rugs Policy
All “On Sale” or discounted rugs are FINAL SALE (with the exception of our Designer Trade Program). All promotions are FINAL SALE.
Newly Made Rugs Policy
If a newly made rug does not fit your expectations or space, then it may be returned for a refund less $50 restocking fee if initiated and returned within 3 days of delivery. We are strict with the timeframe, as we are a small business and the rug will need to be resold. Customer pays for return shipping.
